Gene Dinkins has led the day-to-day surveying and engineering operations of the firm since 1973. Under his leadership COX AND DINKINS has become one of the largest surveying companies in South Carolina and one of the state's most respected engineering firms.
He has extensive knowledge of planning, zoning, and site development issues. He has served as Chairman of the Richland County Planning Commission and also of the City of Columbia Planning Commission. He has been appointed by the Governor of South Carolina to serve a five year term as a member of the Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
Mr. Dinkins has taught professional seminars at the University of South Carolina, Midlands Technical College and for many professional organizations.
