This on-campus hotel owned by the University of South Carolina is a shining example of thoughtful downtown development. Located across the street from USC's National Advocacy Center and central to the USC campus, this modern hotel with state-of-the-art facilities reflects the design and architecture of the existing properties around it.

Part of the work by Cox and Dinkins, Inc. was to take an old and unsightly parking lot and design a site-plan that would meet the needs of the client while minimizing the impact on the surrounding area. Much care was taken to integrate the hotel into a limited site area to capture the neighborhood's architectural motif, to design parking and green areas that incorprate existing trees, curb-cuts, and nearby historic buildings, as well as minimize the effect of drainage and construction issues for the residents in the area.
