The University of South Carolina's latest sports facility is destined to be the most unique baseball stadium in the world.

Cox and Dinkins, Inc., a recognized leader in LEED (TM) and LID design, is the key civil design firm in unique design elements such as:

  • Field elevations set to create a "bowl shape in order to avoid expensive stadium seating and meet LID standards."

  • Bioretention basins and Recycle stormwater for use with irrigation.
  • Existing drainage features and electrical right-of-way used to minimize forest clearing impacts due to construction.
  • Stadium oriented to receive northeastern winds from behind the catcher in order to increase the number of home runs.
