Laura Baker is a Partner and Senior Engineer at Cox and Dinkins where she oversees a division of the firm’s public and private sector consulting services. Ms. Baker is responsible for maintaining the quality and growth of Cox and Dinkins’ large commercial division while implementing innovative and timely solutions.
Laura has a diverse educational background and over 15 years of technical experience. She is well known in the industry for her expertise in large, complex, inner-city development projects and many re-development projects encompassing entire downtown city blocks.
Ms. Baker is active in numerous professional organizations and donates her time serving as a guest lecturer for the Urban Land Institute, the Midlands Branch Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the University of South Carolina’s Chapter of the ASCE, in addition to participating as a panel member for the University of South Carolina’s Women in Engineering Conference.
Laura Baker is a Professional Engineer in the state of South Carolina and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Marine Science and a M.S. in Civil Engineering.
