Robert L. Echols, Jr., PE, PLS

Transportation Director

Rob Echols is the Transportation Director at Cox and Dinkins. He facilitates business development initiatives and leads the strategic growth of the firm. His extensive knowledge and well-deserved reputation in the transportation design industry help position the firm as a leading provider of transportation engineering services.

Rob joined the firm in 2016 after an expansive career culminating as CEO of Florence and Hutcheson, where he was well known for his expertise. He established that firm as a leader in transportation in the Southeastern United States. Most notably, he was responsible for the first Single-Point-Urban-Interchange (SPUI) project in S.C. and for the Greenville Southern Connector project, the first public-private partnership highway project of its kind in the region.

Mr. Echols is a Professional Engineer and Professional Land Surveyor in South Carolina and was previously a Professional Engineer in North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Rob L Echols, Jr. graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.S. in Civil Engineering.
